Verification, payment and retention

Verification
Nonprofit prices, the free Community plan and the founding offer require nonprofit verification; any organization can buy a plan at the standard price without it. A reviewer decides within 5 business days and you are told either way; if the queue is delayed, the verification page says so rather than letting it pass silently.
Payment before verification
If you check out at the nonprofit price before verification is complete, your payment method is saved but not charged until verification is approved. If verification is declined or lapses, the saved method is released and nothing has been charged. A subscription waits for verification for at most 30 days before it is cancelled and the saved method released. A purchase at the standard price is charged at checkout like any subscription.
When the allowance runs out
There is no automatic overage billing. When the monthly allowance is used, new sends wait for the reset or for a plan change; existing documents stay readable and in-flight signers can finish.
Retention
Completed documents stay readable and downloadable for as long as your subscription is active, and your organization can export its data at any time. Automatic deletion of stored documents is currently off; if a retention window is introduced it will be published in the retention policy first, with notice.
