eScryber vs DocuSign

A DocuSign alternative for small teams

DocuSign is the best-known name in electronic signing, and for a large company it may be the right choice. A small business or nonprofit usually needs less: a few people who send agreements, recipients who can sign without an account, and a signed copy with a record of who signed and when. This page compares the two on the things that decide the bill for a team that size.

The main difference: seats versus a shared allowance

DocuSign prices each sender as a seat. Its Standard plan is $30 per user per month on an annual plan, and each seat includes 100 envelopes a year.

eScryber prices the organization. Each plan includes several sender seats and one monthly envelope allowance that the whole team shares. Mission includes 10 sender seats and 150 envelopes a month for $290 a year, or $150 a year for a verified nonprofit.

On nonprofit discounts

DocuSign's nonprofit program takes 30% off annual Standard and Business Pro plans for new customers, after verification by its partner Goodstack. Its FAQ lists exclusions, including schools, healthcare organizations and advocacy groups.

eScryber's nonprofit prices apply to every plan once verification is approved. Any organization can start at the standard price without it.

Switching
